winemaker´s comment: |

Picked and crushed at night, only free run Chardonnay juice
was used while some light first pressings of Sauvignon Blanc
and Chenin Blanc were added for additional complexity and
flavour. Fermented and stored entirely in stainless steel,
this is a fresh, versatile and vibrant wine to enjoy with
food or on its own. |

Vintage Notes:
A mild winter 2008 experienced below average rainfall and spring saw
an average flowering and fruit set.
A short burst of very hot weather in early February 2009 produced
some leaf burn and fruit shrivel and caused many growers to panic
and pick too early which resulted in the loss of fruit flavour.
Chardonnay was fortunate in that it is a very early ripening variety,
so maximum fruit flavour and ripeness was achieved before the
heatwave and so produced a balanced, flavoursome wine showing good
acidity.
